Don Estridge High Tech Middle School is a public 6–8 middle school on NW Spanish River Boulevard in Boca Raton, part of the School District of Palm Beach County. Established in 2004, it is named for Philip Donald "Don" Estridge, the Florida native who led development of the original IBM Personal Computer. Its High Technology choice program weaves technology and business into core academics, and the school lists a grade of A with an enrollment of 1,298.

Programs & academics

High Technology (Choice Program)

Uses technology as an educational tool integrated into a challenging core-academic curriculum; students build technology into their projects, presentations and assessments.

Business program

Project-based learning in which students apply technology skills to real-life business situations, from business operations to job creation and entrepreneurship.

Industry certifications

Courses such as Emerging Technology in Business (Internet Business Associate certification, high school credit) and Fundamentals of Web and Software Development (HTML5/CSS3) prepare students for certification exams.

Before & after care
On-site morning program (8:00–9:00 a.m., Mon–Fri) and after school program (4:05–5:45 p.m., Mon–Thu; none on Fridays) with homework help from certified teachers and rotating activities such as yoga, art, recreational sports and coding; daily fees apply.
Dress code
Dress code per the Student & Family Handbook: tops with sleeves or straps that cover the midriff, bottoms at least mid-thigh, closed-toe and closed-heel shoes, and a school ID badge worn at all times.
