Miami Beach Fienberg-Fisher K-8 Center is a Miami-Dade County Public Schools K-8 center on Washington Avenue in Miami Beach, serving children from Head Start and Pre-K through 8th grade. Its academics page features the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP), and its vision is "Empowering and nurturing internationally-minded, life-long learners." Programs & academics

IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)

An inquiry-based curriculum framework for students aged 3 to 12, built around six transdisciplinary themes of global significance and focused on developing the whole child as an inquirer.

IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)

A framework for students aged 11 to 16 covering eight subject groups, requiring the study of at least two languages, and culminating in an independent personal project in the final year.

Head Start and VPK / Pre-K

The school's staff roster lists Head Start, Pre-K (including Pre-K with ESE) and VPK classrooms on campus.

YMU Rock Ensemble and Audio-Visual Crew

Rock Ensemble auditions for 2026-2027 are open to all instruments; students can also join an Audio-Visual Crew to gain experience in photography, videography, sound engineering, lighting and graphic design.

Before & after care
An All Stars before/after-school program (Pre-K-8th grade) and the Miami Music Project (grades 2-6) operate on campus; the school also lists nearby options including P.A.L. and the Boys & Girls Club at Flamingo Park and the Scott Rakow Youth Center.
Dress code
Mandatory uniform school: elementary (K-5) wears khaki bottoms with red or navy collared polos bearing the school emblem; middle school (6-8) wears khaki or black bottoms with white or black collared polos with the emblem; no jeans, hoodies or sweatpants, and middle schoolers wear school IDs daily.
