Poinciana Elementary Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Magnet School is a public K–5 school in Boynton Beach, part of the School District of Palm Beach County, open since 1996. It describes itself as a "100% Choice Program" and as both a STEM School and a Green School of Excellence, with STEM woven into reading, writing, and social studies. Students use a planetarium, science and math labs, and a Lego Robotics Lab, and take field trips to places like Kennedy Space Center. Home of the Pandas, it enrolls 442 students.

Programs & academics

STEM Choice Program (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

STEM topics are integrated into all learning, including reading, writing, and social studies. Every student does hands-on science and math, supported by a Science Lab, Math Lab, Lego Robotics Lab, and a Planetarium Classroom.

Planetarium & STEM Labs

Students learn in the school's planetarium and STEM laboratories through problem- and inquiry-based learning, with an introduction to coding and a robotics lab.

Field Experiences

Curriculum-linked field trips include Kennedy Space Center, MarineLab, and Billie Swamp Safari, plus virtual field trips.

Arts Integration

Music, art, media, and PE are integrated with the STEM curriculum.

Title I Schoolwide Program

Poinciana is a Title I school with FY27 annual meeting materials, a school-parent compact, and a parent and family engagement plan.

Before & after care
Poinciana Extended Learning (PEL), formerly called "Aftercare," offers morning care from 6:30 to 7:30 AM and after-school care part-time (2:00–4:00 PM) or full-time (2:00–6:00 PM), with pre-enrollment by online form.
Dress code
Uniform dress code: solid-color or striped polo shirts or school T-shirts with solid navy, black, gray, or khaki pants or shorts (jeans allowed, no rips) and closed-toe shoes.
