Tequesta Trace Middle School
No Limits. Just Legacy.
Weston, Florida · Taking part in PTA Restaurant Week™, November 2–15, 2026
Tequesta Trace Middle School is a public middle school (grades 6–8) in Weston, part of Broward County Public Schools, and home of the Cougars. The school says it is the only school in the district to earn and keep an "A" school grade every year since Florida's grading system began. It offers a Cambridge (AICE) advanced academics program, a Dual Language program, and specialized programs such as Forensics, Entrepreneurship, Speech & Debate, and Concert Band. Through a partnership with Cypress Bay High School, qualifying students can take high school courses.
Beginning his seventh year as principal, Robert Rivera welcomes families to a school "defined by excellence, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to student success," noting its unbroken record of "A" grades. He highlights the Cambridge and Dual Language programs, high school courses through Cypress Bay High, and a safe, inclusive culture. The 2026–27 theme is "No Limits. Just Legacy." Go Cougars!
